Bikes Belong recently conducted a BMX Access Survey finding that a good number of skate parks don’t allow BMX freestyle use.
Nearly 100 skate parks from 30 states responded to the survey where 46 percent said they don’t allow BMX riders and 54 percent do.

Team USA continued its dominance of the 2009 UCI BMX World Championships, claiming five of the nine challenge class world titles up for grabs on day two at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
Three of the gold medals were earned by USA Cycling’s Junior Development Program athletes: Rusty Nesgiv (San Diego, Calif.), Paul Wassenaar (San Diego, Calif.), and Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif.).
Nesgiv rode to his world title in the 15-year-old boy’s contest and he was followed by fellow USA Cycling Junior Development Program athlete Nick Koehler (Tustin, Calif.), who claimed the silver medal. In the next category up, Wassenaar bested all of the 16-year-old boys in Adelaide to score his world championship. Crain earned her title with a victory in the 16-year-old girl’s race and was joined on the podium with another junior development athlete, Taylor Wolcott (Roseville, Calif.), who rode to the bronze medal.

Lance Armstrong can expect some help from Astana team mate Alberto Contador in Saturday’s penultimate Tour de France stage, as long as the Spaniard has already made sure of overall victory.
Contador will start the 167-km stage to Mont Ventoux with a lead of four minutes 11 seconds over Luxembourg’s Andy Schleck, with the third-placed American only 15 seconds ahead of Briton Bradley Wiggins.
