This week’s Rise Above introduces Buddy Elias who lost his leg due to a rare disease called Thromboangiitis Obliterates (aka “Buerger’s Disease”). Buddy was a skateboarder prior to surgery and after the doctors removed his leg, he turned to skateboarding to keep himself anchored and comeback from his struggle.

Day three of the PWA Pozo World Cup might have been windy, but day four’s wind was on a totally different scale. The wind at times was gusting to 60 knots, but this didn’t deter the world’s most radical sailors from launching into rocket propelled stunts as they delivered a truly breathtaking display. In the morning, Philip Köster (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) was able to win the single elimination ahead of Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / North) after a monumental battle between the two riders.

Out on the water for some first time wake boarding. This vid was actually taken last year. Lots of fun had with the fam and extended family. As soon as we saw that lightening was fairly close, we called it. But it was late anyway.
