Money is an emotional issue, especially during economic hard times. Social scientists have always warned that once a person’s basic needs are met money doesn’t buy happiness. On Feb. 25, Chandler residents will have a chance to hear how it was created.

A MOBILE skate park has been bought to tour the area’s schools.
The portable facility is scheduled for a pitstop at Sir John Talbot’s Technology College during half-term, when it will be sited on the school’s tennis courts.
The skate ramps are open to children aged from seven and all sessions are free.

The Great EsSkate — an annual in-line skating gathering that draws hundreds of people from all over the world — will be Friday through Sunday.
Socializing and group skates will take place throughout Miami-Dade County, but the event is based at the Royal Palm Resort Hotel, 1545 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. Highlights include an 11 p.m. “Urban Skate” on Friday, and 9:30 a.m. police-escorted skates through the streets of Miami Beach and the Art Deco district on Saturday and Sunday.
Bicyclists are welcome. Cost is $135, benefiting the Miami Beach Police Athletic League.
