Over a decade ago, I attended a meeting in the San Francisco area for a new not-for-profit BMX organization aimed at establishing a network of advocacy for getting BMX bikes into skateparks throughout the U.S. The organization was known as the BMX Riders Organization (BRO). At the time, it was a roundtable discussion of seasoned BMX riders that was aimed at getting legal permission to ride BMX bikes at skateparks that banned bikes.
