MYRTLE BEACH – Organizers of the 58th annual Sun Fun Festival celebration have released details on the event marking the annual kickoff of summer on the Grand Strand.
According to a news release from the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the core festival, June 5-6, will take place at Grand Park across from The Market Common on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. The festival typically draws between 30,000 and 40,000 attendees each year.
The festival will feature live entertainment throughout June 6, celebrity meet-and-greets, H2X Racing’s 2009 Tour of personal watercraft racing and demonstrations on Grand Park Lake, food and arts/crafts vendors, fireworks, as well as the Miss Sun Fun/Miss Sun Fun Teen pageant.
