Nothing gets Dale Earnhardt Jr. riled up more than hearing criticism aimed at his cousin and crew chief, Tony Eury Jr.

Eury, of course, is Hendrick Motorsports’ biggest scapegoat, getting most of the blame for his team’s struggles over the last year, and Earnhardt Jr. doesn’t like it. When he hears it — which is quite often these days — he quickly goes on the defensive, defending Eury and begging fans and the media to back off.

Maybe there is a simple solution to this ongoing saga: Maybe it’s time for team owner Rick Hendrick to break up the two cousins, pairing Earnhardt Jr. with a new crew chief and moving Eury into a new role…  Details

One of NASCAR’s foremost race teams has a new business partner.

Joe Gibbs Racing is finalizing a broad-based relationship with IMG that will give the NASCAR team access to the agency’s full range of sponsorship sales, measurement and activation capabilities.

Busch laughed maniacally through his commentary. ”Eighty-eight, lucky dog. Hahahahaha!”

Busch knocked the No. 88 off the lead lap again on lap 438 but his focus had returned to keeping the competition behind him and winning the race. Further comment was reserved until the postrace… Details
