There is an awful lot of doom and gloom out there, but when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping.
And being the patriotic sort that I am, I decided to do my part for the good of the economy and help Congress spend our way back to prosperity.
Shopping for a new board is therapy that I suggest you all to try. Walking into a shop nowadays with a fistful of dollars and a gleam in your eye is equivalent to Kelly Slater showing up at your local surf shop. From all the attention you get, it’s like you just won the World Championship Tour or something.

Like almost all aspects of modern life, surfing has an environmental cost that, until recently, was rarely considered. Ours is a ‘natural’ sport, ‘close to nature’ and somehow seen as ‘pure’.
