Lake Cumberland will be the site for the best in speed boat racing as the first ever Offshore Super Series Powerboat Racing Association makes its Kentucky debut with the Lake Cumberland Grand Prix, May 15-17, at Halcomb’s Landing at Wolf Creek Dam near Jamestown, Kentucky.
The fun lasts all weekend long with spectacular parties, musical performances including up-and-coming country rock band, Halfway to Hazard,and autograph sessions with the drivers, not to mention the best in offshore racing with over 30 boats roaring by at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour.

The event is presented by the Gulf Coast Kayak Fishing Association along with help from a number of sponsors including Hobie, Hooters, and Academy Sports.
The GCKFA is a non-profit organization focused on promoting kayak fishing throughout Northwest Florida and South Alabama. The association has a number of activities and events each year including tournaments, rigging workshops, social gatherings, and fishing trips.

From Ã…rhus, Denmark and now living in Newport, R.I., the tall blonde Scandinavian has been a top-ranked women’s match racer since the mid-nineties, ranking as high as number two in the ISAF Women’s World Match Race circuit and crowned twice as the Danish Match Race Champion (’94, ’96). As a member of the Danish national team, she also pursued an Olympic campaign in the Yngling women’s keelboat for the 2004 games in Athens. This September 15-19, however, she will lead the Royal Danish Yacht Club’s co-ed entry in the NYYC’s Invitational Cup, which is set to host 18 yacht club teams from 14 nations in Newport, R.I., where Crump currently resides and where the club’s on-the-water clubhouse, Harbour Court, is located.
