New York, US – It appears that the 33rd America’s Cup won’t be held in Ras al-Khaimah (RAK) after all, or in fact anywhere else north of the equator, except Valencia, Spain.  The New York courts ruled that RAK does not meet the specifications for a proper winter venue as set forth in the Deed of Gift, being that the DoG venue must specifically be either in the Southern Hemisphere, or at the defender’s yacht club, meaning that the 33rd America’s Cup is now homeless, and that yet another chapter to the saga of this match race has been written well before the start.Â
