Challenger BMW ORACLE Racing Team (USA) scored the vital first win in the best-of-three race series that is the 33rd America’s Cup off Valencia, Spain.Â

The big ocean rowing news this week is the arrival of Britannia III in Barbados – huge congratulations to her international mixed crew of 12 who completed their Atlantic crossing in 38 days, 11 hours and 7 minutes – a time that will be engraved on their memories for ever. Although there must be a level of disappointment amongst the crew that they missed the record that they were aiming to break, there’s no taking away their massive achievement in rowing 3,000 miles across an ocean.
