Amid the waves off Aberdeen Beach, racers and their boats will compete for points towards the National, Team, Mixed, Rookie, City and Celtic Cup categories. Crowds will be able to witness first-hand the exhillarating action that has come to be expected with the coastal racing of these one design catamaran powerboats.

Event partners Aberdeen City Council are confident that adrenaline junkies and seaside visitors alike will embrace the spectacle.

LAHAINA — It was a golden year for Napili Canoe Club’s age 12 paddlers. 

Led by the charge of the youth paddlers on their roster, Napili raced to a fifth place finish in the AA Division (7-12 entries) of the Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association (HCRA) State Championship Regatta held at Keehi Lagoon in Honolulu on Aug. 7. 

Kahana Canoe Club finished three slots behind in eighth place, and Lahaina CC placed 16th in the A Division for seven crews or less.

Jet skiers competing in the annual Solent Skiers Association Wight Stuff event will be raising money for the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity when they take to the water on Saturday, 4 September

Some 60 personal watercraft (PWC) and up to 120 riders are expected to head to Lee on Solent, Hampshire to take part in The Wight Stuff, supported by the RYA

PESCADERO, Calif. — A man says he survived an uncomfortably close encounter with a great white shark off the Northern California coast that left 18-inch bite marks on his kayak.

Adam Coca says he was fishing in his 13-foot kayak near Pigeon Point, about 45 miles south of San Francisco, on Saturday when something bumped his boat and flipped him over.
