My dinner lay spread out beneath me in every direction, plainly visible in the crystalline waters. The rocky inlets and kelp forests of Central California’s eight Channel Islands are home to what is considered to be some of the finest uni, or sea urchin, in the world. To better see them in their natural habitat, I was sea kayaking off Santa Cruz Island, 25 miles offshore of the Santa Barbara Channel.

The North American Speed Sailing Project members are getting ready for the long waited 2010 Luderitz Speed Challenge.
After taking the 2010 2010 HAM Challenge, Jamie Douglas, Bill and Rob Douglas are really looking forward to claim the world speed sailing record, property of the l’Hydroptère.

Thundercat Racing Championship – Organisers have added an extra twist to the contest and will hold four rounds of the championship at the penultimate event this weekend.
This will mean even more racing for the competitors and twice as many points up for grab before their finals in Porthcawl on the second & October 3rd.
Heading into this weekend’s event the P750 class is led by Thundercat 28 – Aquarius Inflatables piloted by Sean Fisher and navigator Grant Pittard. The South African duo hold a comfortable 29 point lead on their closet rivals … Details
