With the smell of new rubber in the air and Mötley Crüe’s “Dr. Feelgood” blaring through an otherwise quiet Yakima Valley SunDome early Friday afternoon, there was a feeling that this was just the calm before the metal mayhem kicked into overdrive.
“It’s going to fill up and be really packed later,” predicted Sam Douglas, who was taking advantage of the lull to casually wander through the 100 Years of Motorcycles expo, which opened Friday and runs through Sunday.
