No race is like it in Northern California. The 41st Annual Hangtown Motocross Classic presented by Capitol Yamaha is coming to Prairie City State Recreation Park Thursday, May 28-30.
It‘s not just any motocross race, but the oldest and one of the most coveted trophies on the 12-race Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series.  Today is a day set aside for female motorcycle enthusiasts.
The annual call for women to get on their motorcycles and simply ride, it doesn’t matter how far or even necessarily to a particular destination, but to just get out in the saddle. Its all about International Female Ride Day, where women the world over are asked to get out on their motorcycles the first Friday of May, which is today.
The globally synchronized day for women was designed to emphasize and spotlight the many numbers of women who ride motorcycles, celebrating not only their diversities, but similarities in their shared passion for motorcycling. It became a huge hit at its inception in 2007, instantly identified among women riders and has since tripled in involvement each year. It is now an inescapable campaign, celebrated from all corners of the planet. X2 Motorsports Group, a division of Steep Hill Media, is proud to announce the opening of the Speed Factory presented by ampm.
Speed Factory will consist of an indoor motocross track, two indoor karting tracks, motorcycle retail area, three conference rooms and a sports bar. The facility is located just 20 miles north of Sacramento in Lincoln, California.

Valentino Rossi starts the European MotoGP season still chasing his first win of the year, having finished second to Casey Stoner in Qatar and his own Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo in Japan last weekend.
