Triumph Bonneville celebrates 50th Birthday setting land speed records at salt flats
Five new world land speed records have been set on Triumph motorcycles during the 2009 BUB Bonneville Speed Trials at the world famous Bonneville Salt Flats.
British racing journalist Alan Cathcart of Denemoore, Claverdon, UK, teamed up with South Bay Triumph owner Matt Capri of Lomita, California to set the records with the iconic British motorcycle at its namesake race course.

Valentino Rossi has labelled the decision to cut MotoGP engine capacity from 990cc to 800cc for 2007 as ‘the biggest mistake in the last 15 years’.

Buell hopes national sport bike victory fuels sales
A decades-long struggle for respect paid off for Erik Buell this month when a Buell motorcycle won a national sport bike championship race.
A Buell 1125R bike beat Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles to win the coveted American Motorcycle Association’s sport bike championship Sept. 8 in New Jersey.
It was the first pro championship for an American motorcycle manufacturer since 1986 and the first for Buell Motorcycle Co., which is owned by Harley-Davidson Inc.
