Yamaha has confirmed that World Superbike rider Ben Spies will be entered as a wildcard in MotoGP’s season finale at Valencia.. The 25-year-old Texan, who will race for the satellite Tech 3 team next year, will take part as a single rider entry of a Yamaha Factory Racing Team, using YZR-M1 test bikes brought over from Japan.
