Red Bull KTM factory rider Tony Cairoli on Sunday took victory in style in the MX1 GP of Sweden at Uddevalla, winning both motos to secure his fourth outright MX1 GP win for the season on the new generation KTM 350 SX-F machine.

Cairoli retains the red plate as championship leader with 434 points, a handsome 67 points ahead of second placed Belgian rider Clement Desalle and can now enjoy his mid season break before racing resumes on August 1.

Canard Breaks Through with Inaugural 250 Class Win

BUCHANAN, Mich. (July 3, 2010) – The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship reached the halfway point on Saturday with the Rockstar Energy RedBud National, round six of the 12-race season. The Independence Day tradition from Southern Michigan played host to thousands of the most enthusiastic fans in the country who watched Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., race to his fifth consecutive victory in the 450 Class. GEICO Powersports Honda’s Trey Canard, of Shawnee, Okla., captured his first career victory in the 250 Class.

Jorge Lorenzo delighted his home fans by taking a dominant victory in the Catalan Grand Prix at Barcelona and further increasing his MotoGP World Championship lead.

The Yamaha rider was embroiled in a close battle for the lead with Andrea Dovizioso, but was left with a huge advantage when the Honda rider crashed at half distance. Lorenzo’s winning margin was 4.754s    …  Details
