I don’t know exactly why, but Chad Reed and James Stewart polarize the fan base in motocross. It seems like if you like one, you’re not allowed to like the other, too. And as a journalist, supporting something that one rider did on a given weekend will often lead fans to calling you out on the internet as “hating” the other guy.
