Chip Yates and his team took the world’s most powerful and world’s fastest electric superbike to an official 2-day test at Pikes Peak in preparation for the 89th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 26th 2011. This was Chip’s first-ever run up the hill and the team showed impressive speed right out of the gates!

Not our fastest lap, but we stayed together, so it was the best video of the day. Lower left view is from the CBR 1000 (3rd bike) & front/rear view is from my GSXR 1000 (middle bike). Other GSXR 1000 (1st bike) had no camera that day. Great time had by all despite the 98 degree weather.
Nicky Hayden was in testing action with Ducati’s GP12 bike at the Mugello circuit on Tuesday. The American rider completed 83 laps of the Italian track, despite the circuit being damp in the morning because of overnight rain.
