It looks like the much-anticipated NASCAR debut of action sports star Travis Pastrana might be put on hold.
After competing at the X Games on Thursday, Pastrana was set to fly to Indianapolis for Saturday night’s Nationwide race, but he suffered a leg and foot injury (reportedly a fractured ankle and foot) while particpating in the moto-x best trick competition.

Nicky Hayden has come to the defence of teammate Valentino Rossi in the face of criticism that the seven-time MotoGP world champion is not trying hard enough this season.
Rossi, who has notched up a record 79 wins in the premier motorcycle racing category, has been having a lack-lustre season after joining Ducati for 2011, his best result being a third place in France.
