This is a bunch of footage we shot with Kalani David during a trip last year to Sumatra. Kalani almost died, literally, a few days into the trip the poor kid got sick and was sweating bullets for the rest of the week. When Kalani returned back home his doc told him he could’ve died if it’d been a few more days. Crazy.
His footage was still included in the movie amongst some of the best juniors but we thought we’d do a re-edit to show what he locked in within just a couple of days.
Oh, and Kopi Luwak? Not far from where we were shooting is where they make the famous cat poop coffee that’ll set you back some big bucks. It also sums up Kalani’s trip, cat shit.
