Saturday at the 29th Kaunertal Opening 2014, the second day of the opening with a lot of sport highlights and side events. The Pro Contest was full of elite riders and local heroes. The battle for the 9200 USD price money was on an unbelievable high level.
With regards to the Pro Contest: Three time Kaunertal Opening winner Eric Beauchemin (USA) made it once more on top of the podium in the snowboard category. Followed by the top rider Kalle Ohlson (SWE) in second. Elena Koenz (SUI) took first place in the snowboard category of the women.
In the Freeski category Hall Alex (USA) ended up on a well-deserved first place right in front of Markus Obwaller (AUT). Lisa Zimmermann (GER) showed impressive skills and secured the first place in the women category.
