My buddy Jake caught a big gust and ended up landing hard. Nothing broken, but he hurt himself pretty bad. We won’t know what is actually wrong until the MRI later this week. He’s been doing this stuff for quite a few years so it isn’t like we were out there being complete morons. He wanted to get height which is why he runs in one direction and then cuts the kite in the opposite direction. We are pretty sure a second gust hit him mid air causing the rough fall.
Red Bull District Ride went down in Nuremberg’s old town, where the world’s top freeride mountain bike athletes took to the sky in an epic display of slopestyle MTB progression through the city. From triple tail whips to the first-ever Tsunami flip on a mountain bike, there was absolutely no shortage of incredible moments to be had. Have a watch, you won’t be disappointed.
