What happens when a crew of young BMX riders fly off to China to ride street?
When I first saw The Common Crew discussing going to China on Twitter, I had my doubts. Would they really follow through with it? I’ve been to China a few times and it’s amazing but I could see it being a little intimidating for a bunch of teenagers. Somehow Sauce and the crew ended up pulling it off though. Of course the initial list of riders who planned on going shrunk as people’s mothers intervened, but in the end Chad Bennett, David Pendleton, Julian Arteaga and Saucey made the trek with Catfish along to help guide the boys in their quest.
By all accounts, they had a life changing trip, which doesn’t really surprise me. And they got some awesome footage while there too. Of course they spent plenty of time sampling China’s many marble ledges but they also seemed to have enjoyed the large drops that Shanghai had to offer, as evidenced by Julian’s insane nollie half cab.
