Oumaima Erhali is a 17-year-old Moroccan woman determined to surf. She’s part of a generation pushing boundaries in a country where many believe a surfboard is no place for a young Muslim woman. But Oumaima won’t let stereotypes hold her back from the sport she loves or the life she wants to lead.
Supertubos is the place when you can find one of the best waves in the world. Usually you can see only surfers there, but sometimes when the wind picks up, several kitesurfers show up for a great wave session. We were lucky enough to get both waves and wind. The conditions were not perfect, but good enough to have some fun. Together with Mauricio Pedreira from Brazil and Ran Rave from Israel we got some snaps, some bottom turns, few freestyle tricks and tons of ideas for the future. We sure as hell gonna go back, wanna join us?
