With the California sun out in full force and spring conditions in February the boys decided to get out of the park and see what snow they could gather up around the mountain.Grey McCalla, Spencer Whiting, Jed Sky, and Brandon Davis got right to work and shaped up some snow on some exposed boulders and sent it to see what’d happen. They ended up in the bed of a plantation-green pickup truck, with a mad tour guide behind the wheel, and thrashing palmeras blowing above them. They rode stubby fishes and sleek shortboards through lurching, spitting sapphire surf. Each guy had a story, from the gonzo writer to the gypsy traveler. It was there on The Island where these eclectic friends converged one extraordinary winter to explore these foreign waters and revel in this dreamy island life… All aboard the Palmera Express.”
Following a busy year on the road with the FMB world Tour and various film projects – Pilgrim and Reynolds head back home for the winter to the UK.
Sam Pilgrim went to the NEC in Birmingham to bring back dirt jumping to the UK scene with the first ever “Sam Pilgrim Big Air Invitational’. Drawing crowds from all over the UK the boys set about sending along side riders such as Matt Macduff and Chopper.
Sam Reynolds went about working on the New ‘S4P’ bike park with Olly Wilkins to create a UK winter trail spot and help bring back the legendary Milfrod Trails.
