On Day 2 of the Oakley Lowers Pro, Round 1 of 96 surfers hit the water in perfectly groomed surf. Filipe Toledo kicked-off the first heat with high scores and lofty air reverses. The trend continued throughout the morning, with local boy Brett Simpson (USA) boosting a huge backside air in Heat 2 and Charles Martin combo-ing the field in the first ten minutes of Heat 3. Kolohe Andino hit the water in Heat 17, showing spectators what being a local looks like.

He mines various Austin grind surfaces for all that they are worth and takes some tricks that he no doubt learned on a foot tall flat rail and ushers them into the future by performing them on rails of consequence.
The concept of speed sailing is rather simple: Go as fast as humanly possible on a wind powered device. The Dunkerbeck GPS challenge took this concept to the next level and brought together the world’s fastest speed sailing windsurfers, put a GPS tracking device on their rig, and let them blast through the open ocean as fast as they can, tracking speeds to determine the fastest windsurfer on the water.
