Part 2 of VOX Goes Camping the VOX Footwear AM & Flow team hit the desert in search for some concrete terrain. This was more then just a regular skate trip, it was a primitive, camping experience. Featuring Nick Peterson, Shaun Gregoire, Andy Mack, Luis Sedano, Al Brunelle, Alan Young, and Brendan Keaveny.

Pine Trees is a surf spot in Hanalei Bay located on the island of Kauai. It holds special meaning for the Irons family, as it is where Andy and Bruce first cut their teeth as young groms. Pine Trees provided the surf base and training grounds for the two brothers to become household names in the surf community. Fourteen years ago they started a youth surf competition for kids 12 and under. The contest provides an opportunity for over 100 local kids to compete where it all began for Andy and Bruce.
This year is one that the community has been looking forward since Andy’s passing, as it is the first year that his son Axel will compete. The four year old jumped in the water with his uncle Bruce, and surfed waves alongside his competitors. Although overall winners are declared for the older participants, the real victory belongs to the Kauai community and the young competitors, as they share in the joy of spending time in the ocean.
