You’ll have a hard time finding a person who would say a bad thing about Jay Davies. He’s an all-around great guy — and have you seen the way he surfs?
You will right here and right now in the first installment in our four-pack of “Made in Australia” edits. We’ll tell you Davies’ tale over the course of a few weeks in his natural habitat of Western Australia. The episode is anchored by his wild-card spot in the 2015 Drug Aware Pro in Margaret River, in which he defeated both the 2013 and 2014 world champs. Not a bad run.

I have been shooting from the water for 2 years now and have not only learnt a lot but really enjoyed the experience. I still have much to learn. The ocean is a beautiful place and is a very humbling environment. I look forward to the challenge of capturing better images in the future.
Last year, a good friend and I went to hang out in Tiger’s beautiful back yard of Romsdal in Norway. As newcomers to BASE, we saw quite possibly the most amazing sights of our entire lives, and met some of the most incredible people along the way. This short documentary is what ensued. I really hope that this film can give you just a small slice of the relentless beauty and freedom of BASE that we witnessed.
