Bodysurfing is the original form of riding a wave and Mike Stewart is one of the most respected wave riders in the surfing fraternity. He has perfected the art of bodysurfing which is known as the most difficult way of riding a wave. This year Mike did a trip with us to make this clip which touches on why Mike strips everything back and dives into the ocean with just a pair of fins which Mike see’s as the ultimate freedom from the constraints of everyday life. Mike’s bodysurfed Pipe, Teahupoo, The Wedge and has lead the pack alongside Mark Cunningham for the last thirty years in this unique way of wave riding. The RS:X World Windsurfing Championships in Mussanah, Oman, concluded in spectacular style on October 24, 2015 with the Medal Races producing nail-biting competition and two extremely worthy world champions. Peina Chen, the 26 year-old super-fit Chinese sailor confirmed her overall win of the Women’s World Championship, while an eighth place for Frenchman Pierre Le Coq in the Medal Race was enough for him to retain his leading position and secure the Men’s title.
