My little series of vids showing some of my favorite trails at Mt. Bachelor bike park. This time we are riding the trail, “Rockfall” — a trundling bundle of goodness; that goodness gracious, was gracious enough to spit us all out in one piece. Steeper than the trail we were on last week (which was “Rattlesnake”) and even more technical. Dusty Wygle and Matt “Oatman” Edleston joined in on the action this time around and consumed more Dust than the recommended daily dosage. – Cam McCaul

Brazil isn’t a country known for its big waves and yet, over the past decade, Brazilians have been dominating the world of surfing. But why tho? Filmmaker Andy Burgess explores what it is about athletes like Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca, Mateus Herdy, Carlos Burle, Rodrigo Koxa and more that have led them to become champions of the surfing world, despite not growing up in big wave surfing hostpots.
Last week we teased Canadian filmmaker Nate Laverty’s new surf movie, “Transition 2”, with a snowy section from the film. Filled with hi-fi surfing in frigid temps, it was an impressive look at how far wetsuits (and surfers) have come in sub-40 degree water. But it wasn’t exactly a welcoming scene for most of us fair-weather surfers. This section, on the other hand, is a striking look at the surf and landscapes along Canada’s Vancouver Island, and it’ll inspire a surf trip north — whenever that becomes possible again.
