Final highlights from the 2016 Billabong National Surfing Championships held at St Clair Beach, Dunedin in January. The event features the best surfers in the country including new champions Billy Stairmand (Open) and Ella Williams (Women’s) as well as longboarding, stand up paddleboarding and all the age group divisions.

You have most likely never heard of the island of New Britain. Despite its familiar-sounding name, it’s nowhere near its namesake – the island sits off the east side of Papua New Guinea, of which it is a province.
It is a relatively large island at 15,724 sq km, and surely one of the least explored places in the world. It’s the perfect place to undertake an adventure – and for Ben Stookesbury, Chris Korbulic, Pedro Oliva and Ben Marr, one that got them nominated for the National Geographic Adventurers of the Year award.
With no chance for rescue, resupply, or traditional support, the boys went in, and came out alive with a helluva a story to share. Check out this video for a glimpse into their grand adventure.
Part 2 of Troy Brosnan | Escape to Paradise. Troy tearing apart the Cairns UCI World-Cup DH Course in between experiencing the region and all its attractions. Troy got some quality time on course in the lead up to Round 2 this April, in Cairns, finding the fast lines that w years ago were layered with a foot of brown, sticky mud thanks to a post-cyclone deluge of rain. With round 2 fast approaching, the course is again gearing up to take on the worlds fastest athletes.
Finally managed to capture surfing through the pier, aka “shooting the pier” with my GoPro mouth mount.
Went to OB Pier in San Diego with my buddy Ian, and had a competition to see who could make it through the pier the most times. I won 😉
