Travis Pastrana will drive the No. 99 Boost Mobile Toyota for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing in seven Nationwide Series races this season, including a mid-summer debut in Indianapolis on July 30 designed to bridge NASCAR with the X Games. Pastrana plans to compete in at least 20 races in 2012.

Competitions outside Winter X are very scarce and only the very best are able to call it a living. The rest bridge the gap with jobs in landscaping, auto repair, concrete and sled dealerships. One athlete describes he and his competition as a “random mix of people.” Snowmobile Freestyle is in its fifth year as a discipline at Winter X and the competition has never seen a repeat gold medalist; the talent pool is deep. Corvette Racing will have two new drivers in its lineup for the 2011 American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (pending official invitation). Tommy Milner will join Olivier Beretta in the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R for the full season, with Antonio Garcia continuing as third driver in the Sebring, Le Mans, and Petit Le Mans endurance races.
