A £140,000 rally car has been stolen from Cockermouth spelling the end of its owner’s dream to race in today’s Malcolm Wilson Rally….
… The Hyundai Accent car, one of only six in the country, was taken from Deer Orchard Close between 11pm on Thursday and 9am yesterday.
A box of spare parts to the value of £25,000 was also stolen from car’s trailer, known as a race shuttle in the industry.
Its owner, Brian McGillin, had journeyed from Ireland to take part in the annual race in the Lake District forests…. Details
