Rookies and drivers outside the top 10 in the IndyCar Series standings are going to be getting a little extra track time in 2009.
Those drivers will get an extra 30 to 45 minutes of practice at most of the IndyCar venues before the tracks are opened to all participants. The extra sessions will begin with a 30-minute practice on April 17 at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the second event on the schedule.

The tired NASCAR axiom of “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday” has been outdated for the past decade, if not longer, but the executives who run Rick Hendrick‘s NASCAR team and auto dealerships brought it back to life last month at Daytona.
Hendrickcars.com, the Web site that aggregates all of the used cars at Hendrick’s 80 dealerships, was the sponsor on Tony Stewart‘s winning car at the season-opening Nationwide Series race.
