TRG’s Spencer Pumpelly takes his narrow GT points lead into the Grand-Am Rolex Series Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen this Saturday, June 6. Pumpelly holds the GT driver standings lead by a single point.
The demanding 3.4-mile, 11-turn undulating Watkins Glen road course in upstate New York will put the three TRG entries to the test early on. The long straights should favor the V8s and the light weight competitors, while the fast sweeping turns should favor the Porsches.
Team owner Kevin Buckler is mixing the TRG lineup for the six hours. He is pairing GT points leader Pumpelly with 2005 Grand-Am champion Craig Stanton and the up and coming TRG driver, John Potter. Pumpelly, Potter and Stanton will drive the No. 66 AXA/Wealth Management Strategies/Magnus Racing/TRG Porsche GT3. The 66 car has been TRGs most consistent runner this season posting a second place finish at the Rolex 24 Hour, a sixth place at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), a second place at New Jersey Motorsports Park and a fourth place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca… Details
Another year, another season of Formula One, and, it seems, more of the controversy that seems to dog the world’s most prestigious motorsport at every turn.
Six races in, and we have already seen debates over loopholes in the technical regulations, the “Liargate†scandal involving the McLaren and Toyota teams, and the proposal of a budget cap for the 2010 season that has brought nine of the ten teams to the brink of withdrawal from the sport as a whole, even as new teams are lining up their entries.

As two GM vehicles driven by Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson were dominating the final laps of Sunday’s Autism Speaks 400 at Dover, thousands of GM employees were bracing for the worst news possible.
This morning, the worst came to pass, as GM filed for bankruptcy protection in the fourth-largest filing in the nation’s history. The onetime giant will receive a total of nearly $60 billion in financial assistance, and the federal government will take over a 72.5 percent share of the company in an effort to make it leaner and more viable.
What this means for NASCAR remains uncertain…Â Details

200mph jet cycle would like to be world’s fastest – but compare it to US Top Fuel motorcycle speed and E.T’s. Still looks like lots of fun.
Imagine sitting on top of two jet engines, catapulting yourself to 200 mph in 7.887 seconds. If this unconfirmed wild ride is for real, that feat would make this jet-powered motorcycle the world’s fastest jet bike. Sure beats that 155mph superbike we were gawking at last year.
Not much else is known about this alleged world record-breaking stunt, except that the cycle’s powered by J402-CA-702 Model 373 turbine engines, originally developed for the U.S. military’s cruise missiles…Â Details & Video
