A whole fleet of outlandishly decorated clunker cars raced across the track, kicking up dirt, blowing around corners and generally causing a ruckus Saturday at the Thunderhill Raceway Park.
The drivers were part of the “24 Hours of LeMons” competition, a national racing event. But this was no conventional race, said founder Jay Lamm.
To begin with, all participants had to enter cars costing $500 or less, not including safety fees, Lamm said.
