An exotic icon known throughout Baldwin Park as the skateboarding parrot has gone missing.
The bird-napping occurred about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as Gordo – a green Malaysian parrot from Guatemala – played in his cage on the front porch of his owner’s Bess Street home.
“My mother was at home and she heard somebody trying to break into the cage,” said Fred Mireles. “When she went out there, the guy was already (running away).” …Â

He’s no stranger to observing overwhelming challenges, but by his own estimation, “This is the most daunting physical thing I have ever attempted,” Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan tells PEOPLE about his own amazing race – a 40-day, 39-city cycling tour from Los Angeles to New York.
