Hurry up summer season! We’ve just been reading about the all-new bike park which will be opening in Val Thorens this summer and it got us so excited we had to put fingers-to-keyboard straight away to tell you about it.
The park, which is open to all, is over three kilometres long and boasts four different zones, with a total of 25 modules of varying levels, for your biking pleasure. All accessible via the Cairns bubble lift, the park will surely be a fave place to hang out for the two wheelers this summer season.

An injury on a mountain bike sets in motion a local entrepreneur’s business concept
When Adam Stephens flew over a 12-foot ledge on his mountain bike two years ago, he had no idea the resulting injury would spin off a business.
Stephens, an avid cyclist, broke the front end of his mountain bike and compressed two disks in his lower back, which made traditional cycling too painful for him. Regular readers of this blog know that it’s rare that Lance Armstrong and I see eye to eye on much, but whether he was the primary instigator of the rider protest that shut down Sunday’s Giro d’Italia stage or merely one of many voices, he (and the others) were right. I just wish they’d get their act together.

It was a record-breaking weekend in Vallnord, Andorra, for round three of the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
In the downhill event, Steve Peat (Santa Cruz Syndicate) took his second-consecutive win and the 17th of his illustrious career.
