Northstar-at-Tahoe plans to reopen its downhill mountain bike park for the summer season on Friday, June 12, weather and conditions permitting.
Featuring more than 100 miles of trails and the most extensive lift-served trail network in the Western U.S., the Northstar Resort mountain bike park offers beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain for cross-country and downhill riders.
Trails for all
Riders will enjoy signature trails including LiveWire, Easy Rider and the 2Six Jump Park. LiveWire, the first downhill bike trail of its kind, features an irrigation system that runs the length of the trail. This past weekend, the Dirt Digger’s North Motorcycle Club, the producers and promoters of the Hangtown pro MX nationals, hosted the 9th annual Monster Energy Crossover Race at Hangtown.
Each year, Pat Schutte and Monster Energy put together a list of pro athletes from every action sport out there; BMX, Skate, Snocross, Snowboarding, Skiing, Wakeboarding, and Mountain Biking. This years BMXers were Aaron Cooke, Eric Walters, and myself, Jimmy Garcia.
