Chula Vista, Calif. (September 16, 2010) — The third round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup presented by Swatch is set to get underway at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., tomorrow, September 17.
A record 72 U.S. riders will join the best BMX racers from 20 other nations at the only Supercross track in the U.S.
Among the Americans to keep an eye on will be Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev.) The 18-year-old currently sits in third-place in the elite men’s Supercross World Cup standings and finished second in the 2010 season opener.

Fields will be up against some tough competition during the Chula Vista round. Leading the 2010 World Cup at the moment is Maris Strombergs. The Latvian was the 2008 Olympic champion and was recently crowned 2010 UCI BMX World Champion in Pietermaritzburg South Africa.
