According to the International Cycling Union’s (UCI) final list of 2011 ELITE Mountain Bike Teams the United States will field seven teams at the discipline’s highest tier; more than any other nation in the world. Â
Of the 30 squads awarded UCI ELITE Mountain Bike Team status, the United States is home to seven in 2011. Germany will field the next highest number of top tier teams with five, while several countries will host three. Â
