Registration is now open for the first round of the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup which is scheduled for April 7-9 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
The first of five races in the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series, the South Africa event is the fourth World Cup event to count into the 2010-2011 UCI BMX Ranking season. Future stops on the 2011 UCI Supercross World Cup circuit include Papendal, Netherlands, May 27-28; London, Great Britain, August 19-20; Sarasota, Fla., September 16-17; and Chula Vista, Calif., September 30 – October 1.

Olympic gold medal BMX racer Maris Strombergs was recently offered the opportunity to spend some time at Cole Canyon Elementary School in Murrieta, Calif., to tell the students about himself, BMX and how he progressed through the sport to become one of the top pros today.
