The professional cycling teams’ association is threatening to boycott the Tour of Beijing in October if the sport’s governing body doesn’t withdraw its proposed ban on radio communication during races by May 1.
The association known as AIGCP said in a statement that it has been banned by the UCI, cycling’s governing body, from attending a meeting of the sport’s stakeholders Thursday in Milan that was to address the issue.

USA Cycling is pleased to announce the nine athletes it will send to the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, April 7-9. The BMX Supercross World Cup is the fourth World Cup event to count into the 2010-11 UCI BMX rankings. The event also allows riders to accumulate points toward a country’s start spots in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
