The Garbanzo DH at Crankworx is arguably one of the hardest downhill races on the planet, mainly because to win you have to beat Chris Kovarik and that means pushing yourself to the limit for 13 plus minutes. Unfortunately for Chris, Sam Blenkinsop did just that and destroyed the field by almost 10 seconds. Shout out to Jack Reading for his great 3rd place and to Eli Krahenbuhl for being the fastest engineer on the day as well as only American in the Top 10.
Jeff Martin is a below-the-knee amputee who was stricken by a bone infection in his left foot. It’s his first year cycling in Amputees Across America.
