Lance Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life by cycling’s governing body Monday following a report from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that accused him of leading a massive doping program on his teams.
International Cycling Union President Pat McQuaid announced that the federation accepted USADA’s report on Armstrong and would not appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

ANGEL FIRE, New Mexico (VN) — Fort Lewis College dominated the Division I cross-country races as the 2012 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships got under way at the Angel Fire Resort.
In men’s racing, Howard Grotts won his third national title and led a Fort Lewis sweep of the podium. Grotts opened a 30-second lead at the top of the first climb and kept building on it over four laps of the 18.8-mile course.

The 2012 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships continued Saturday at the Angel Fire Resort in Angel Fire, N.M., with the short track cross-country and downhill competitions.
In the short track cross-country race, riders turned half-mile laps with minor elevation gain and loss for 20 minutes and three laps. The first gravity event of the competition, the downhill, spanned 1.5 miles and dropped riders 1,000 feet of elevation.
