Redhill in Gloucestershire is one of Britain’s finest 4X tracks. A cornerstone of the British 4X Series this fast, flowing track is always a favourite for riders and spectators. With fun jumps, high berms and split lines on the track, racing is always amazing and on Sunday it was no different.

With weather forecasts all week saying that a wet weekend was in store. On Saturday, clouds loomed, rain threatened but it did not arrived. Loads of riders were on track and having a blast getting their lines dialled. As always, Saturday night was all about BBQ’s, fun and talk about the race on Sunday.

In 2006, Leogang acted as the host for the iXS European Downhill Cup for the first time. In the following years it gained more and more attention within the mountain bike scene. After last year’s World Championships, there will be some more highlights in 2013. One of them is already in the books: the first race of the iXS European Cup series. With 415 starters from 29 different nations on the list of participants and even more riders on the waiting list, the perfect conditions for an exciting weekend were already prepared and the list of favourites included more than just a few big names.

The full extent of how cycling has taken over London can be revealed today.

The biggest ever census of bike use in the city reveals one in four road users during the morning rush hour is a cyclist – and on key routes such as river crossings and roundabouts bikes even outnumber all other vehicles.

Day 1: Track Walk

The Monday after the Fort William World Cup was complete it was a 3am wake up call and we were off to Val di Sole for the second World Cup. Despite its rugged reputation, the Val di Sole track has looked after me with podium results for the last two years. I was really looking forward to another World Cup after a mechanical at Fort William. Despite the mechanical, I was still able to salvage a decent result, but not what I was looking for. The track walk went well. The track looked as if it would live up to its reputation: brutal, steep, rocky and rooty. I was looking forward to practice in the morning.
