ENCINITAS — Jeff King’s house is hard to find. There’s no address out front and no landmark to identify it. A giant wooden fence is all an outsider can see through the blinding shrubbery all around.

Padres relief pitcher Luke Gregerson has a unique way of commuting to work.
He puts on a Quicksilver baseball cap, sunglasses, a black Quicksilver T-shirt and blue jeans, throws down his Sector Nine longboard and cruises to Petco Park.
“My brother bought one (a skateboard) when I got here (in 2009) on opening day,” Gregerson says. “He left it here when he left and I just started riding it to work every day ever since.”
