The directions we had weren’t too great: “ It’s just across the border in Irun, Spain. You drive over the bridge and you’ll see it right there.†Now we had three options. Either drive to Spain over the motorway, the Route National, or drive down from the beach. We opted for the Route National but did not find anything when we entered Spain. Next up was leaning towards the nearby motorway but driving along like that you could either be Lucky or drive around forever.
After a couple of turns looking out for either a guy who looks like a skater or a BMX-er, we saw a sign that sent us back to Hendaye in a way we had not used. For the fourth consecutive year, these unique events will feature more than 100 of the world’s top female action sports athletes competing in surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and inline skating. The Supergirl Jam is the industry’s only large-scale, all-girls action sports competition and is designed to celebrate female strength, independence and empowerment. In 2010, the Supergirl Jam series will kick-off with three events, each highlighting the sports’ most talented female pros as well as up-and-coming amateurs.

Paul Rodriguez got back to his winning ways Saturday with a first place finish at the second Skate Park stop of the Dew Tour, The Wendy’s Invitational, at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR. He unleashed a storm of technical tricks including a switch 360 kickflip and switch backside tailslide down the stair set.
Dew Tour Boston winner, Greg Lutzka, kept his overall lead in the season standings with a second place finish, and Chas Ortiz brought home his second straight third place finish on the tour.
