Skateboarding Is a Way of Life for Many Enthusiasts in Germany

Some 30 years ago Titus Dittman was considered eccentric by people who saw him on Germanyâ€™s sidewalks.Â

The then teacher recalls a mix of compassion and sorrow on the faces of the people who saw him on his comical toy from the United States.Â

Of course, at the time nobody would have guessed that skateboarding would go on to enjoy worldwide popularity and form an entire youth culture.
